Day five. Geeveston to Dover.

Day five and we have a mix of terrain to follow some forest, button plains and yes plenty of hills. After a slightly late start getting some coffee we got into it with vigor.
Slightly out of sequence but during the day we came across the loggers setting up for a big burn. They block the area off and then drop incendiary stuff into the logged areas.
This is the results as seen from Dover a huge smoke pall which block out the sun for a couple of days.
We did find some cattle grids to cross but by now they don't seem so formidable. This one certainly had a big gap between the rails.
Fine looking bunch.
Healthy robust middle aged, just about convinced we can make it to the end of the trail.
Down there and its almost over.
Of course there are still the odd navigation differences to sort out and trail makers that point every which way but up.
The last of the sandstone not quite as good as the day before but "Swearing Bob's" plain had some interesting sections.
More double single track through the forests.
Finally the ocean, from Devonport to Dover, two trips but it got done in the end. The view from the hill where we came out had a lot of us lingering for a while.
